The Livingston County Health Department is closely monitoring an outbreak of respiratory illness caused by a novel (new) coronavirus (COVID-19). There currently are no presumptive positive cases identified in Livingston County; however, in the interest of the health and safety of our residents and staff, the City is taking precautionary steps to avoid exposure as the virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person.

As part of our community mitigation strategies, the City of Howell is encouraging residents attempting to make a utility bill payment to do so online, by phone or via the drop box located at City Hall. Penalties will be suspended until further notice.

Those with questions or needing to conduct other business are also encouraged to call 517-546-3500 so that we may continue to serve you while also practicing prevention.
