Public Act 202 of 2017, the Protecting Local Government Retirement and Benefits Act went into effect on December 20, 2017.
A primary component of the Act was the requirement that all local units of government providing retirement pension and/or retirement health care, file with Treasury information about their plans.
Treasury released Form 5572 requiring the reporting of the plans assets, liabilities, and actuarially required contribution (ADC).
In addition, local units were required to list their governmental fund revenues. The City has filed the Forms 5572 for our Pension and Retiree Health Care plans.
