Sponsored by the Solid Waste Program of the Livingston County Drain CommissionerA FREE scrap tire collection for Livingston County RESIDENTS to responsibly dispose of car and light truck tires will be held by reservation only on Saturday, July 8, 2017, from 9 am to 1 pm. This event is sponsored by a grant from the MDEQ (Michigan Department of Environmental Quality) and is coordinated by the Solid Waste Program within the Livingston County Drain Commissioner’s office. Utility Rate Change
Effective July 1, 2017, based on a study by our utility rate consultant, the City of Howell will be increasing water and sewer rates on average 4.9%. The majority of our customers using a a 5/8"meter will experience an annual increase of $37.80 or $3.15 per month.

- Grand River Road Diet
Over the years, the City has received consistent feedback that improving walkability and parking capacity in downtown is a priority. The City is evaluating a road diet project for Grand River from Barnard Street to Chestnut to address these goals.
