ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
FOR TREE TRIMMING & REMOVAL

The City of Howell is requesting “sealed” bids for the annual Tree Trimming and Removal Program.  Specifications may be picked up at the Department of Public Works, 150 Marion Street, Howell, Michigan during regular working hours, Monday-Friday 7 am to 4 pm, or sent electronically by contacting Mike Luce at mluce@cityofhowell.org

Sealed Bids must be received at City Hall, City Clerk’s office (3rd floor), 611 E. Grand River Howell, Michigan 48843 by 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2018.  Please mark "Trimming Bid" on the outside of a sealed envelope.  If you have any questions, please contact Mike Luce, DPW Operations Manager at (517) 546-7510.

CITY OF HOWELL, MICHIGAN
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS OFFICE RENOVATION

The City of Howell will receive sealed bids at the City Clerk’s office located at 611 East Grand River Avenue, Howell, Michigan 48843, up to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2017 for all work associated with the construction of a new locker room, lunch room, restrooms, and reconfiguration of existing offices and finishes. Bids must be sealed in an envelope with “DPW OFFICE RENOVATION” marked on the outside.

The City of Howell officially distributes bid documents through the Michigan Intergovernmental Trade Network (MITN). Copies of documents obtained from any other source are not considered official copies. Only those vendors who obtain documents from the MITN system are guaranteed access to receive addendum information, if such information is issued. If you obtained this document from a source other than MITN, it is recommended that you register on the MITN site, www.mitn.info and obtain an official copy and any addenda. The City of Howell also reserves the right to use any other method of distributing bid information; however, any additional method of distribution will also direct vendors to MITN.

A mandatory site walk-through for all prospective bidders will be held on-site on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 2:00 pm

Only those who attend the mandatory site walk-through will be allowed to bid on this project.

A certified check or bidder’s bond for a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the proposal will be required with each proposal. The right is reserved by the Owner to accept or reject any proposal, and to waive any irregularities in any proposal, in the interest of the City. No bids may be withdrawn after the above bid date and time for a period of sixty (60) days.

CONTRACT 17-DPW-1
2017 Neighborhood Sidewalk Program

Sealed Proposals will be received by the City of Howell, at the office of the City Clerk, up to 2:00 p.m., prevailing local time on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 for the construction of Contract 17-DPW-1.

Contract 17-DPW-1 consists of approximately 6,200 square feet of sidewalk and ADA ramps to remove and replace; restoration, and other miscellaneous items of work. In addition, the City is seeking prices on 2 alternate bids including the construction of approximately 3,700 square feet of new sidewalk along N National and the removal and replacement of concrete steps at the City Hall building. Alternate bids may or may not be awarded individually with the contract.

I-96 and Lucy Road Improvements

A sedimentation mitigation project on the I-96 BL and Lucy Road including roadway reconstruction with aggregate base, HMA paving, curb and gutter, storm sewer, and drainage structure repairs.
