Monthly Senior Newsletter 

 

The Senior Center is located in the Paul Bennett Recreation Building.

 

HOURS OF OPERATION


Monday through Friday with hot lunch weekdays at Noon.


Call the Nutrition Hotline to register at least on day in advance, by 10:00 am.

The Recreation Building is open from 8:30am - 5:00pm.


Most senior activities are from

10:00am - 3:00pm.

Exercise Programs and Recumbent Exercise Machine.

 

 

 

NUTRITIONAL PROGRAMS

 

Congregate Hot Lunches, Meals on Wheels distribution site, VG's Surplus Baked Goods, Gleaners Food Bank distribution.

 

 

COMPUTER LAB

 

Three computers, scanner, printer for senior use free of charge weekdays.

 

COMPUTER CLASSES

 

Beginners Intro, Printshop, Digital Camera. Offered Monthly.

 

 

SENIOR CLUBS
(Most clubs meet approximately 10:30am - 2:30pm)

 

Howell Senior Citizens
Meets Mondays and Thursday year-round. Bingo, monthly birthday party.

 

Young at Heart
Meets 1st and 3rd Tuesdays, year-round. Entertainment, potlucks, etc.

 

Livingston County Retired School Personnel
Meets 3rd Thursday most months. Speakers, lunch, entertainment.

 

United Auto Workers (retired)
Meets 4th Wednesday most months. Speakers, lunch, entertainment.

 

TRAVEL PROGRAM

 

Day Trips
Casinos, cultural, music, sports, scenic, historic. Call or stop by the center to reserve space.

 

Extended Trips
Out-of-State and Out-of-Country. Most require advance deposits. Stop by the center for more info.

 

Trip Policy
No membership or age requirement. (Casino trippers must be of age. Trips to Canada require two ID's.)
