Parking Lot #1 Reconstruction

Project Description:
Bids are solicited on a unit price basis for all work specified. This project will consist of approximately 10,000 syd of HMA, 6,000 syd of Aggregate Base, 1400 ft of concrete curba nd gutter, 600 ft of strom sewer, 700 ft of water mian and 1,000 ft of sanitary sewer. Proejct also includes extensive landscaping and irrigation which includes approximately 1,000 ft of masonry wall, 4,300 sft of concrete sidewalk, 6,600 sft of clay brick pavers as well as over 1,800 plants and trees. Proejct also includes extensive electrical work including installation of meters, transformers and approximately 3600 ft of conduit.
Special Instructions:
The City of Howell will received sealed bids at teh City Clerk's office located at 611 East Grand River Avenue, Howell, Michigan 48843, up to 2 pm Thursday, March 11, 2010. Bids must be sealed in an envelope with "Parking Lot No. 1 Reconstruction" marked on the outside.
A manadatory pre-bid meeting for all prospective bidders will be held at City Hall (611 E Grand River Avenue, Howell, MI 48843) on Monday, March 1, 2010 at 2 pm.
Only those who attend the mandatory pre-bid meeting will be allowed to bid on this project.
Neither the City nor its Engineer will give verbal answers to any inquires regarding the meaning of drawings and/or specifications, or verbal instructions prior to the award of the contract. Any verbal statement regarding the project by any person(s) associated with the City or its Engineer, prior to award, shall be unathorative.
Any explanation by bidders must be requested of the Engineer (Any Malczewski) in writing by email at amalczewski@hrc-engr.com, not less than five (5) working days prior to the bid date.

How to obtain bid documents:
Plans and Specifications for this work may be obtained in person at Hubbbell, Roth and Clark, INc. 555 Hulet Drive, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302, beginning Monday, February 8, 2010 for a non-refundable fee of one-hundred ($100) dollars. Office hours for pick-up are 9 am - 3 pm, Monday through Friday. Plans and Specifications can be mailed for an additional fee of ten ($10) dollars.
