Water Discoloration during Construction
March 9th, 2012 at 9:23 am

The current construction project that is occuring S. of Grand River, and W. of Michigan Ave. involves several utility improvements, including water main upgrades.  These will help provide reliable water and sewer service for the entire neighborhood.  Unfortunately at times it becomes necessary to flush hydrants and turn valves which may stir up iron, causing some residents to have orange water.  The water is perfectly safe for use.  Please run your faucets until it clears up before  you use it, this should take no more than 15 minutes.

If it continues to happen or you need assistance, please contact the dps department at 517-546-7510.
