The 2012 yard waste pick began April 2nd on your scheduled Rubbish/Recyle date.
Please check the city calendar for pick dates and locations.
The current construction project that is occuring S. of Grand River, and W. of Michigan Ave. involves several utility improvements, including water main upgrades. These will help provide reliable water and sewer service for the entire neighborhood. Unfortunately at times it becomes necessary to flush hydrants and turn valves which may stir up iron, causing some residents to have orange water. The water is perfectly safe for use. Please run your faucets until it clears up before you use it, this should take no more than 15 minutes.
If it continues to happen or you need assistance, please contact the dps department at 517-546-7510.
Beginning April 2nd the Central Business District will be swept on Monday and Thursday nights (4am - 6am). This service will run through Nov. 22.
The parking lots in the Central Business District will be swept in April, June August and October. As always the dates will be subject to weather conditions, and may vary in times.
Major/Local street sweeping will occur in the fourth week of the month, April through August. Again, the dates will be subject to weather conditions, and may vary in times.
